Availability: How to get involved with Jesus

God doesn't look at your outward appearance,
but at your inward availability.

Take heart with Jesus! Stand up and get
involved – in Jesus name!

Once again and very important: It's not about what you are doing, it's all about your relationship to Jesus.
Out of this relationship He will make you keep doing if you are available!
Don't ever think it's the other way round!
You don't need to do anything for a personal Relationship with Jesus.
Relationship - not Religion:
- Religion says "Do!", Jesus says "Done!"

- Jesus Saves, Religion does not!

Identity: The Purpose of Man's Free Will

Without a free will mankind would be puppets on a string played by the creator of the universe. But we are not puppets or employees - we are beloved children of the heavenly Father. That is our identity!
And that's why we do not have to try harder, do more and tempt to beeing good enough for Him. God still loves you even you screwed up.
It is all about grace - not about your performance in life.
It is about Jesus' performance for you.
It is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus alone.
Jesus does not want what you do, He just wants you!
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, the Door to heaven - the only way to the heavenly Father.
What do you put your faith in?
What drives you?
What is your attitude towards God and Jesus?
What is your identity?

Who is following whom?

they have INVITED JESUS TO FOLLOW THEM.

We pursue the benefits of a relationship rather than the essence of of that relationship.
Rather than God being God we turn ourselves into God and make Him our prostitute.
C.S. Lewis: "Put first things first and we get second things thrown in. Put second things first and we lose both first and second things."
God wants us to put Him first!
If you put God first you can enjoy his gifts in an meaningful way.
In Jesus God actually gives us Himself. The creator of the universe is all ours.
This is the only thing that can never be taken from us: My identity as a child of God can never be taken!
Do you elevate the gifts above the giver?
Or do you pursue the essence - intimicy of that relationship with God - rather than the benefits e.g. the blessings?

Sendepause: Gottes Segen für 2014
.
Ich bin wieder mal weg und melde mich hier erst Ende Januar 2014 wieder zurück!
Für den kommenden Neujahrstag habe ich aber etwas vorgearbeitet ;-)
Ich wünsche einen "Guten Rutsch" ins Neue Jahr und vor allem Gottes Segen für 2014.
Diesen Segen haben wir bereits durch Jesus Christus, der in uns Gläubigen wohnt (Römer 8,10 et al.).
Mit Jesus Christus haben wir bereits alles: Heiland, Erlöser, Retter, Messias, Auferstandener, Friedefürst, Weltüberwinder, guter Hirte, Licht der Welt, Weg, Wahrheit, Auferstehung, Leben, Tor zum Himmel - Sohn Gottes, Schöpfer der Welt und allem, was darauf ist u.v.m.
Mehr geht nicht!
Das sollte man sich jeden Tag bewusst machen...
Eine persönliche, enge, intime Beziehung zu Jesus ist die beste Beziehung, die man haben kann.
In diesem Sinne verbleibe ich

Fröhliche Weihnachten: Größte Rettungsaktion aller Zeiten gestartet

Mein Vater gibt euch das wahre Brot vom Himmel. Das Brot, das Gott gibt, ist der, der vom Himmel herabkommt und der Welt das Leben gibt.

Kulturspezifische Interpretation:
Was hat die 2.000 Jahre alte, christliche Weihnachtsgeschichte, was haben das Jesus-"Christkind" in der Krippe, Maria und Josef, Engel und Hirten, Heilige drei Könige mit dem heutigen Leben zu tun?
Tatsache ist, dass viele Weihnachtsbräuche und -phantasien romantische, kulturspezifische Interpretationen sind.
Worum geht es eigentlich?
Wahrheit Weihnachten - Start der größten Rettungsaktion der Menschheitsgeschichte:
Uns wurde mit Jesus Christus, Gottes Sohn, ein Heiland geboren (Lukas 2,11), der aus dem Himmel auf die Erde kam, um die Menschheit von ihrer Schuld vor Gott zu erlösen (Markus 10,45).
Gnade vor Recht:
Er gab Sein Leben, damit jeder, der an Ihn glaubt, nicht verloren geht, sondern gerettet wird und ewiges Leben haben kann (Johannes 3,16).
Gott wurde Mensch:
In Jesus Christus wurde der himmlische Vater und Schöpfergott ein Mensch, um sich mit den Menschen zu versöhnen und ihnen ihre Sünden nicht mehr länger anzurechnen, sondern zu vergeben (2. Korinther 5,19). Das ist die "Botschaft der Vergebung und Versöhnung".
In diesem Sinne: Fröhliche Weihnachten!
